CIRCA War Room

Centre for Contemporary Art, Glasgow

2005

In April 2005, the Lab invested the Centre for Contemporary Arts in Glasgow (as part of  Risk: Creative Action in Political Culture exhibition) with a Clown Army War and Strategic Planning Room. A giant map of Gleneagles was deployed for visitors to conceive their plot against the G8 summit.  A wall sized world map marked the location of hundreds of acts of global resistance and toy soldiers were transformed into rebel clowns by the exhibition goers. It was also the launch pad for Operation H.A.H.A.H.A.A (Helping Authorities House Arrest Half-witted Authoritarian Androids) and a 9 city tour leading to the G8.
